Year 1: A6 – Forces
A6.1 Forces
Step One:
Learn
This is the first video in the series on Newton’s Laws and how they are used to describe the motion of an object when forces act up on it. We start of with a very simple model and explain how to calculate forces that are in equilibrium as well as situations where there is a resultant. The video finishes by looking at how vectors can be used to describe forces, as well as being able to calculate magnitude and direction of a force.
In this second video in the series we look at Newton’s famous second law, and how the force applied to an object is proportional to the acceleration of the object. We then go on to include examples of how forces questions can be linked (via acceleration) to SUVAT questions
