Year 2: A3 – Probability
A3.4 Normal Distribution
Step One:
Learn
The first video in the series which introduces the Normal probability distribution. This video goes through the the characteristics and parameters of the Normal distribution, ready to start solving probability problems using the distribution in the next video.
The second video in the series on the Normal Distribution. In this video we look at how to use the normal distribution to solve probability problems.
This video goes further into calculations with the normal distribution. In it, we look at how to use the standardised normal distribution to help us solve problems – specifically, finding mean and variance of a data set.

A3.5 Conditional probability
Step One:
Learn
This is the first video in the Year 2 series on Probability and it recaps knowledge and notation from Year 1 of the course in preparation for Year 2 content.
The second in the series on Conditional probability from Year 2 of the Statistics course. This video introduces the idea and notation of conditional probability; in particular, a formal treatment of the probability of an even given another event has previously occurred and looks at how Venn diagrams can be used to enable conditional probability calculations.
